Small Groups

Small Groups Increase Faith, Fellowship, and Friendships Joining a small group is a great way to get to know other people at Lynwood. These groups meet on a regular basis each Sunday and throughout the week. Some of the groups do not meet during in the summer but will begin again in the fall. Having fellowship with a group sharing similar interests provides an opportunity to develop close personal friendships. New groups begin at different times throughout the year and run for six weeks or more.

The following groups are typical of those offered throughout the year:

Sundays

Sunday School Classes

Children 4 years - 5th Grade 9:00 am – 9:50 am
During this time, there is a music and art time for this age group.

4 Yrs. – 5th Grade
These age groups meet each Sunday morning to study the Bible and have lessons appropriate to each age. They meet during the
“Family Worship Service”, 10:20 – 11:30 am.

Jr. High and Sr. High

There will be a class suited for this age group from 9:00 am – 9:50 am. This is taught by Lynn Anderson and her staff. All young people are invited.

Adult Sunday School

Women’s Class

This class meets each Sunday at 8:45 am to 9:45 am. They have a lesson plan, but their main purpose is to uphold the church and individuals in prayer. Their major focus is to spend much time in prayer each Sunday. Women of any age are welcome to join this class.

All Ages, All Stages

Ordinary Radicals: Discovering the difficulties and blessings of really following Jesus.

"He was in the world, and though the world was made through him, the world did not recognize him. He came to that which was his own, but his own did not receive him." - 1 John 1:10-11

How tragic it would be if those of us who call ourselves "Christian" to reject Jesus himself. Maybe more of us would if we really understood how he calls us to live. Then again, maybe we would find a whole new level of life and happiness. Join us as we struggle with these really difficult questions based on Jesus' famous "Sermon on the Mount."
